The Mutual Wave Machine (MWM) is an interactive neurofeedback installation. Two visitors enter the machine wearing electroencephalogram (EEG) headsets that allow them to control the flow of sound and image through their neural synchrony.

The MWM was supported by the Science Chamber of the Marina Abramovic Institute in collaboration with Suzanne Dikker, Matthias Oostrik, Diedrik Schoorl, and Matthew Patterson Curry. It premiered at TodaysArt in The Hague, NL in 2013.

Glimpse a clip of it here.
